How do I book an appointment?
You can contact us by email or phone — or book directly via our online calendars:

What happens during the first appointment?
The initial consultation lasts 50 minutes and is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. You share what is on your mind — we give you an insight into how we work. At the end, we decide together whether and how to proceed. There is no obligation.
Who is the service suitable for?
We work with adults aged 18 and over. A prior diagnosis is not required — clarifying this together can be part of the therapeutic process.
How long does therapy last?
That depends on your concerns, the duration of your difficulties, and your goals. As a rough guide: short-term therapy typically comprises around 24 sessions, long-term therapy around 60 sessions. We discuss this in more detail during the first appointment.
How often do sessions take place?
Usually once a week, though this can vary depending on the phase of therapy and your individual situation.
Will my health insurer cover the costs?
Mindful Hamburg is a private practice. Privately insured patients and those entitled to civil service benefits can generally claim costs through their insurer — please check with your provider in advance. Direct billing with statutory health insurers is unfortunately not possible. Under certain conditions, however, a cost reimbursement procedure may be available. Please feel free to ask us about this.
What does a session cost?
Billing follows the fee schedule for physicians and psychotherapists (GOÄ/GOP). A detailed fee overview is available on request and will be provided at the start of treatment in the form of a fee agreement.
What happens if I need to cancel an appointment?
Please cancel appointments as early as possible. For cancellations within 48 hours of the appointment, we reserve the right to charge a missed appointment fee, as the slot can no longer be offered to someone else.
Do you offer group therapy?
Group therapy is currently being developed. If you are interested, please get in touch — we will keep you informed about new offerings.
Is the practice accessible for people with reduced mobility?
Our practice is located on the top floor (2nd floor) and is unfortunately not accessible without stairs. Please contact us in advance if you have any questions.
